The Function Point Calculator consists of two separate steps:
Step 1 is to fill in a table with estimates for the software
you plan to develop.
Step 2 is to answer several questions about your software.
Once both Step 1 and Step 2 are completed, all that is left is to click
on a button and the number of function points for your project will
be calculated.
Both Step 1 and Step 2 are needed to calculate an accurate number
of function points. If you bypass Step 2 (answering the questions)
the calculated number of function points will be incorrect. Bypassing
Step 1 will result in ZERO function points no matter how you answer the
questions from Step 2, so this is not allowed.
