This assignment will give you an opportunity to design an arcade game. Your game does not have to be original, but should not simply copy an existing game. To receive full credit your design document will need to contain non-trivial sections as defined below.

  • Storyboard
  • Character bibles
  • Flowcharting
  • Level or scene outlines

Art Specification

  • Overall style (background and foreground objects)
  • Main characters

Design Specification

  • Implementation details
  • Data structure and interface definitions
  • Pseudocode for algorithms
  • Development environment

 

 

Your write up should be 10 to 15 pages long. Your oral presentation should be 10 to 15 minutes long. Demos of prototypes are allowed, but they are not expected.
