CIS 400 Oral Presentation
Fall 1999

Your final exam grade will consist of two parts: an
individual oral presentation on a topic approved by me
(50%), and our third class exam (50%).

You may present with a partner on a topic that is
sufficiently large enough to warrant two people working
together. However, both people must contribute equally to
the oral presentation and each partner will be graded
separately. Some presentation ideas appear below. You may
suggest others and submit them to me (in written form) for
my approval no later than November 8th.

Write language web pages not in CIS 400 languages guide
  Demonstration of new language applications
Demonstration of a programming development environment
Compiler component design (not done previously in CIS 474)
Compare two languages using criteria from text
  Parallel language implementation
  Database Query Languages

Oral project presentations (5 to 10 minutes) will take
place during our last class period (12/13/97) or on the
study day (12/14/97) at a mutually agreed upon time. You are
expected to make appropriate use of AV materials
(demonstration, power point, transparencies, posters,
handouts, etc.) during your presentation. Final versions of
your presentation outline and AV materials are due no later
than Tuesday, December 14th.
