CIS 400 Oral Presentation
                          Fall 1996

Your final exam grade will consist of three parts:
participation in (and successful deployment of) the class
project described in this handout (25%), an individual oral
presentation on a topic approved by me (25%), and a short
exam given the last day of class (50%).

You may present with a partner on a topic that is
sufficiently large enough to warrant two people working
together. However, both people must contribute equally to
the oral presentation and each partner will be graded
separately. Some presentation ideas appear below. You may
suggest others and submit them to me (in written form) for
my approval no later than November 25th.

Write web page(s) language not included in class project
  Demonstration of language use
  Demonstration of programming development environment
Compiler component design (not done previously in CIS 474)
Evaluate language using criteria from text
  Parallel language implementation
  Database Query Languages

Oral project presentations (5 to 10 minutes) will take
place during our last class period (12/9/96) or on the study
day (12/11/96) at a mutually agreed. You are expected to
make appropriate use of AV materials (demonstration, power
point, transparencies, posters, handouts, etc.) during your
presentation. Final versions of your presentation outline
and AV materials are due no later than Wednesday, December
14th.
